Description The Educational Excellence Award is intended to honour an individual who has made a significant impact in the area of medical education at a national or international level. Priority will be given to a member of the CSOHNS although other candidates could be considered under exceptional circumstances. Selection and Judging The Awards Committee Chair will request a call for nominations from the members of the Society with a deadline date of December 1. Nominators will be asked to submit the name and reasons why their candidate is worthy of the award in an abstract of no more than 250 words. The judging committee will be led by the Awards Committee Chair and will include the Society’s President, Immediate Past President, 1st Vice-President and three additional members-at-large who are not in a conflict of interest situation with any of the candidates. The honoree will receive his award at the annual scientific meeting of the following year. The prize will not be awarded if there is no suitable candidate. The Award The award will be an inscribed plaque to be presented at the opening plenary session of the CSOHNS Annual Scientific Meeting. |
