Head and Neck Fellowship - Drs. Mark Taylor / Jonathan Trites / Rob Hart / Joe Nasser(1 year)
This comprehensive one year head and neck surgery fellowship was initiated in July, 2007. The fellowship includes advanced head and neck oncologic surgery, endocrine surgery, reconstructive surgery including microvascular surgery (approx. 50-60 free flaps), transoral laser microsurgery and facial plastic and cosmetic surgery. The fellowship is open equally to Canadian and foreign trained individuals.

Advanced Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction Fellowship

This fellowship has just received accreditation by the American Head and Neck Society.
During this fellowship, the individual will be exposed to a large volume of patients and will gain a broad experience in the medical and surgical treatment of all types of head and neck cancer. In addition, the fellow will participate in over 100 microvascular flap reconstructions of major head and neck defects.

Fellowship in Rhinology / Endoscopic Sinus and Skull Base Surgery
— Dr. Erin D. Wright, 1 year (June - July) (C)
This fellowship will provide a broad experience in Rhinology with focus on complex and revision endoscopic sinus surgery as well as the extended applications of endoscopic techniques including minimally invasive approaches to the skull base, management of neoplasms, endoscopic pituitary surgery, and orbital decompression. Academic activities will include clinical or basic science research as well as teaching reponsibilities for trainees in otolaryngology. Application deadline is May 1 of the year prior to beginning the fellowship.

The otology/neurotology fellowship program at the University of British Columbia (UBC) offers a one year clinical experience for an otolaryngologist in training to provide comprehensive medical and surgical care of patients with diseases and disorders that affect the temporal bone, lateral skull base and related structures of the head and neck. The year will include research opportunities, operating room experience, teaching and participation in and supervision of otology/neurotology patient clinics. Although the fellowship is primarily adult patient based, it may be possible for interested fellows to spend some of the year at B.C. Children's Hospital with a pediatric otolaryngologist with an interest in pediatric otology.
