I am pleased to announce the recipients of the 2017 Fellowship grants. From the many excellent applicants, Dr. Elise Graham  from Dalhousie University and Dr. Brittany Barber  from the University of Alberta have been chosen as the award recipients.

Dr. Graham is doing a pediatric fellowship at the University of Utah and Dr. Barber’s fellowship is in head and neck oncology and microvascular reconstruction at in New York City. We look forward to hearing from them at the annual Canadian Society of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery meeting upon completion of their work. Thank you to all who reviewed their applications.

Canadian Fellowship Grant Opportunities

  • Application deadline is FEB 15th of each year.  IMPORTANT: All supporting documents MUST be submitted ELECTRONICALLY by the application deadline date. NO HARD COPIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
  • In addition to Canadian graduates doing fellowships at Canadian centres, consideration for funding will also be given to applications from those candidates going abroad to do their training and foreign graduates accepted for training at Canadian institutions.
  • For 2018: Two (2) undesignated fellowship grants, in the amount of $25,000 each, will be available (contingent on the Fund’s capacity).

Reminder: The Fund’s Mini-fellowship Program.
This initiative is meant for ACTIVE members of the Society who wish to enhance their expertise in certain areas of the specialty or who would like to acquire new surgical techniques.
