E-Posters – Deadline Extended
Thank you to all who submitted Posters to our digital showcase. We look forward to sharing your research. Click here for details regarding how to submit your work.
Deadline: Please submit your final e-posters by May 10, 2024 (note this is a final and extended deadline).
Please submit your poster in a single, clearly visible PDF file (vertical orientation only) through the event application speaker portal. A second copy should be sent to entcanada3@csohns.org. If we do not receive your poster by this date, we will assume you are not interested in participating.
Your poster will automatically be entered into the Poster Competition, however, if you do not wish it to be considered, kindly indicate this to us. All posters will be reviewed and short-listed by the Selection Committee prior to the meeting. The top ten (10) posters will be judged, and a winner selected. The winning poster will receive a plaque and a cash prize of $500.00. The Review Committee may also name honorable mentions.
Each poster will be assessed according to the following criteria: identification of problem, discussion of results, literature review and bibliography, quality of illustrations, originality, and overall visual presentation. There are two pre-convention courses available on Friday May 31.
1. Sinus Course: Tailored Learning for Tailored Surgery

Sunday, Jun 2 @ 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Salon 6-7, Le Centre Sheraton Presented by Michael Au, MD, MHI, FRCSC Presentation Details: The reconstructive armamentarium for scalp defects includes primary closure, skin grafting, local flaps, free tissue transfer, and tissue expansion. In suboptimal candidates where these approaches may not be feasible due to patient or tumour characteristics, the innovative application of dermal regeneration templates can be implemented as either adjuncts or alternatives to traditional reconstructive methods. Please join Dr. Michael Au as he presents real-world case studies to illustrate the clinical and practical benefits of using dermal regeneration templates in complex head and neck reconstructions including preoperative planning, surgical application, and postoperative care. Refreshments and snacks will be provided Dr. Au is a Head & Neck Surgical Oncologist at St Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, ON and Juravinski Cancer Centre in Hamilton, and Assistant Professor in the Division of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, Department of Surgery at McMaster University. Dr. Au completed fellowship in Advanced Head & Neck Surgical Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction at the University of Toronto.
